Calm in every crisis, but wrecked by a slightly raised voice?
Still apologizing for things that need no apology?
Fifteen coping skills in, and the voice is still there?
I'm Elizabeth Land. I grew up in a house where I heard "why are you so stupid" about ten times a day. For years I thought that voice was mine. It never was. Fourteen years into practice, I help people hear the difference between their own thinking and the voice someone in their family put there.
- 1. A consultation call with Elizabeth. You tell her what's been running underneath, she tells you plainly whether her approach fits.
- 2. If it fits: 70-minute sessions, virtual, just you and Elizabeth. You book your next session at the end of each one.
- 3. The work: she catches the critical voice mid-sentence, traces it back to where it started, and helps you separate it from who you actually are.
"That voice was never yours." · Elizabeth Land, LMHC
